UPDATE
The second drawing is now complete and PDFs have been sent out to the subscribers. This new drawing consists of the vertical tail plane, fin and rudder and shows all key parts in the assembly drawing including spars and ribs, trailing and leading edges. Like the horizontal tail drawing, it is one sheet 24" x 36". I will begin working on the fuselage next.
New Vertical Fin and Rudder Assembly Drawing.
Updated Horizontal Tail Plane Assembly Drawing.
The first assembly drawing for the Lawrence Tech IV is now complete and
I will send out parts and files to the cutter and Mike to begin the
beta. In another week or so I hope to finish the vertical fin and
rudder and will then move on to the wings. Its our hope this way we can
build as the plans are being developed and have kits ready to ship by
Christmas of this year. Here is a plan preview of one panel of the
horizontal stabilizer and elevator. It must be built in two halves as
the center root fairing is quite large and would be difficult to work
around it and the vertical fin so we will be faithful to the scale
mounting arrangement.
If you are interested in building this 1:3 scale high performance vintage gull wing glider, please email me at [email protected] and I will email you the full resolution PDF file of each assembly drawing as I complete them.
Great work! Look forward to the fuse drawing appearing. I did the Email and would love to build this also. I think it is about time the US gliders show their stuff.
