Richard Smith Interviews

New Cowl Products

I've just received the prototype parts for several new engine cowlings for the eighth scale 54" Taylorcraft, Aeronca Chief, Aeronca K and Schweizer SA 1-30. The parts look great and by making a couple of the larger and longer cowls two-piece parts with a joggle, production is more accurate and assembly simplified for the modeler.

Plastic Parts

With the new cowls we will produce an 1/8" (3mm) laser-cut lite ply firewall bulkhead and motor mount parts for simplified conversion to electric and gas power and eventually, plans revisions to show a simple and effective method for strut and landing gear mounting as well as a two-piece removable wing system for easy transport.
