I've been talking with tooling manufacturers and CNC houses for six months or more now and in the near future I may move all of our large and giant scale kits over to the CNC Router Table for cutting. We feel that there are major advantages in kit quality to be gained with little extra work for the modeler. I have sent out the files for the SGS 1-23 at quarter scale and will do the same with the new SGS 1-26E quarter scale for evaluation and testing. The latter will likely be beta built from such parts.
I am also rethinking my use of baltic ply and replacing it with the more commonly used lite ply made from poplar. This will reduce weight in the kits and by all reports provide great structural integrity up to 1/3 scale and larger.
