Vincent Bensacon may well be the best model aircraft builder that I have ever had the good fortune to see work. And its only because of the internet age that I am able to "look over his shoulder" as he builds his masterpieces. If you have never visited his pages and http://www.retroplane.net/ you owe yourself a treat.
I know I will learn much from his masterful use of simple tools and well executed and elegant engineering solutions in interpreting full scale sailplanes to pieces of flying vintage art. In just the two pages I've listed here is a wealth of information that can be applied to all of the scale subjects offered by TMRC and elsewhere. But do take the time to click through the complete build logs and his web pages. They are worth your time. Enjoy!

Note the lack of numerous stringers but how Vincent makes near perfect sheeting for the fuselage.

Note how later in the thread, Vincent creates the linkage for dual surface dive brakes, used on many of the Schwiezers by the way. And the remarkable tubular structure for the cockpit and glazing. What can I say! I don't think there are adequate superlatives.
Thanks for inspiring us Vincent!
Wow, I don't think I've ever seen better craftsmanship. This is great stuff.
